WE SHOULD BE THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL

Those of us who were affected by this terrible storm, know who rushed to our aid and ordered that all available means of assistance be rushed to us free of any and all "Red Tape" or any other obstacles. I haven't heard of anyone telling all the resources deployed to save us, "Please don't worry about us because we know you can't afford to rescue us due to the 'Budget Crisis and Deficit'!!!" I know I wasn't stupid enough to say that when I was sitting in the dark, with no hot water or heat and it was getting colder and colder everyday, with a freezer full of meat that was going to have to be tossed out. I didn't hear anyone on the 5 mile long gas lines, some having to push their cars to the pump after running out of gas idling for hours refusing the assistance that was on the way. Matter of fact, I don't know of anyone else waving off any help. Our Republican Governor Christi sure didn't say anything of the sort or allow Politics to stand in the way of the help he was pleading for. No, he parked himself at the airport and wouldn't budge until the President landed and heard his needs. The President pledged to him in the Bipartisan manner the President has tried to promote, any and all assistance and resources at hand. Our Governor wasn't dumb enough to say, "Mr President, I want to reduce the size of Government  and eliminate wasteful spending." Instead, he conducted himself in the exact manner a leader should, disregarding any politics, meeting with his Political Foe in order to save his State's victims. We all know how ferociously he had been campaigning against the President for the Romney/Ryan ticket, that he is the darling of the Republican Party, and was the Keynote Speaker at the Republican Convention. To his credit, the Governor pleaded for his people, knowing that he would be critically attacked by his own Party, who refused to put aside the politics and do the right thing. Those of us in New York and New Jersey who saw those Blackhawk Helicopters in the air over our area, knew that help was on the way. If I had any doubt as to who I was going to vote for, that doubt no longer exists. We in New Jersey and all other affected areas would reduce ourselves to the lowest form possible by not showing our respect, appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for this President's courage of conviction to put America's people first above anything else. WE SHOULD VOTE OBAMA!!!
